Treppy.io is an online operating entity of VisitorsCoverage Inc., California, USA, License #0F17045 (“Treppy®“). Treppy.io is a web site that you can use to research, shop for, and purchase various international travel insurance and health insurance products. Treppy.io is only made available for the use of consumers who are researching and shopping for insurance products. You are not permitted to use this web site or its contents for any commercial or non-personal purpose.
Use of Treppy.io is governed by the following terms and conditions (the “Terms”), which constitute a binding agreement between you and Treppy®. Your access and use of Treppy.io indicates your acceptance of these Terms.
Independent Agents
For the purposes of these Terms:
- The independent agent identified in the branding on the relevant web page of Treppy.io is the “Independent Agent” for the purposes of these Terms.
- As between the Independent Agent and Treppy®, the Independent Agent is your insurance agent, not Treppy®. You must contact the Independent Agent with any inquiries, concerns or disputes.
Privacy
For information regarding the use of information collected in connection with Treppy.io, please refer to our Privacy Policy, hereby incorporated by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy before you attempt to purchase insurance through Treppy.io.
Scope of Permitted Use
The insurance services and products described on Treppy.io are made available only to persons in those jurisdictions in which such products and services may legally be sold and purchased. Nothing on the Treppy.io shall be considered a solicitation to buy or an offer to sell any products or services to any person in any jurisdiction in which such offer, solicitation, purchase or sale would be unlawful. As a consequence, not all insurance products described in this website are available to all persons in all jurisdictions at all times.
Certain restrictions, conditions and eligibility requirements may apply. In particular, if you are a United States citizen or resident, you may be subject to certain additional restrictions, conditions and/or eligibility requirements. Before purchasing any insurance policy offered through Treppy.io, make sure you have reviewed and understood the eligibility criteria. Please contact the Independent Agent if you have any questions related to your eligibility to purchase any given product.
Nature of Insurance Offered
The insurance plans available on Treppy.io are short-term temporary medical plans for visitors to the United States or other persons who do not have a permanent residence in the United States. These plans are not a substitute for primary long-term medical insurance, which you may be obliged to purchase under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. If you are a United States citizen or permanent resident, it is your responsibility to determine what type of health insurance to purchase. You, and not Treppy®, are solely responsible for your purchase of an insurance plan through Treppy.io and all consequences resulting from your decision to purchase any such insurance plan.
Most travel insurance plans provide insurance coverage that applies only during the covered trip. You may have coverage from other sources that provide you with similar benefits, but which is subject to different restrictions depending upon your other coverage. For example, you may wish to compare the terms of a particular travel insurance policy with your existing life, health, home, and automobile insurance policies. If you have any questions about your current coverage, call your insurer or insurance agent or broker.
You must read the insurance policy brochure and insurance plan details for complete and accurate details of the insurance policy you are considering purchasing. Only the terms and conditions of coverage and benefits listed in the insurance policy are binding. Please review the evidence of coverage and insurance plan contract for a detailed description of insurance policy eligibility criteria, coverage, benefits, claims process, limitations and exclusions.

Indemnification; Release
You agree to indemnify and hold Treppy® and its affiliates, employees, agents and representatives harmless from any and all claims and liabilities (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your breach of these Terms, or your improper use of Treppy.io, any information provided in connection with Treppy.io, or any dispute you may have with any third party (including any claims or disputes with an insurer relating to payment, claims and benefits (paid, unpaid or declined), policy language or any unpaid policy premiums, or any claims or disputes with any Independent Agent). Treppy® reserves the right to assume, at its sole expense, the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to the foregoing indemnification obligation, in which event you will fully cooperate with Treppy® in asserting any available defenses.
In the event that you have a dispute with an insurer, policy administrator, Independent Agent, or other service provider you hereby release Treppy®, its officers, employees, agents and successors from any claims, demands and damages of every kind or nature, known or unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way related to such disputes. If you are a California resident, you waive California Civil Code Section 1542: “A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing the release, which, if known by him must have materially affected his settlement with the debtor.”

Miscellaneous Terms
Enforceability: If any part of these Terms is unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that part will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions and the invalid provision or portion thereof shall be deemed omitted and the remainder of these Terms shall be given full force and effect.
Jurisdiction: This agreement is governed by and interpreted pursuant to the laws of the State of California, United States of America, without regard to principles of conflicts of law, applicable to contracts to be wholly performed in California. Any action based on or alleging a breach of this agreement must be brought in a state or federal court in Santa Clara County, California. In addition, you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts, and irrevocably waive all objections to such jurisdiction and venue.
Entire Agreement: This agreement is the complete and entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any prior agreement, whether written or oral. If you become dissatisfied in any way with this website or these Terms, or if you do not agree to these Terms, your sole and exclusive remedy is to stop using this website and its services.
Modifications: Treppy® from time to time and without prior notice, may change, modify, add, or remove portions of these Terms. Accordingly, please return to this page regularly to review such changes. Your continued use of Treppy.io constitutes your acceptance and agreement to be bound by any and all such changes. Please do not use this site if you do not agree to accept and be bound by its Terms.
Specific Insurance Disclaimers
- You understand that the insurance you are purchasing contains a pre-existing condition exclusion, a pre-notification penalty, benefit limitations, and other restrictions and exclusions.
- Insurance policy suggestions made on this site, if any, are generic and are based on the limited information you have provided to Treppy® at the time of purchase. It is your personal decision to purchase a policy based on the recommendations provided. Before purchasing a policy, you are responsible for reviewing the policy documents, coverage description, eligibility requirements, policy exclusions, and terms and conditions as outlined in any particular policy and to verify that you qualify for that policy and that it meets your travel needs.
- Treppy® is not an insurance company, and does not control the policy language, policy provisions, claims handling, insurance acceptance or provider’s network. You will be required to follow your insurer’s processes and procedures to use your insurance or to seek your benefits. You agree to indemnify Treppy® for any claim against Treppy® or its affiliates, officers, agents or representatives related to payment, claims and benefits (paid, unpaid or declined), policy language or any unpaid policy premiums.
- Buying an insurance policy is not a guarantee of coverage. All benefits are subject to the policy terms and the claims process as set forth in the policy.
- Direct billing to the insurer is not guaranteed. You will be required to follow the claims process as set by the plan administrator and insurance policy.
- Treppy® does not store your credit card information. Payment information is transmitted directly to the insurer or the administrator of your insurance policy. The transaction on your credit card will appear under the name of the insurer or the plan administrator.
- Travel medical insurance is a short term insurance policy not subject to the requirements of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (“PPACA”) or regulations issued under PPACA, and is not required to provide the same level of benefits or process as regular long-term health insurance plans subject to PPACA and related regulations.
- It is your responsibility to renew any policy you have purchased before the deadline for renewal. Treppy® cannot renew expired policies.
